KISSsoft Updates System Module Operating Modes

They are then combined into Operating Modes. &nbsp;These operating modes specify which clutches, switching elements, or brakes are active and which load is applied at specific system boundaries at a given situation.&nbsp; A typical example is when a gearbox is driven by multiple motors, like in a Dual Motor EV gearbox and different load combinations and/or power flow directions (changes from driving to coasting condition or from motor to generator mode) need to be analyzed.&nbsp; During self-setup, the kinematic viability of each operating mode is automatically verified, ensuring that no errors occur later in the analysis. Calculating the strength of a transmission may require you to handle various load levels in a load spectrum as well, which sometimes need to be defined at different system boundaries. In the load spectrum, each load bin is assigned to one of these predefined operating modes. This also provides a clear visual indication of the required load data input for each load bin. After running a load spectrum calculation, the system module provides detailed reports with results on bearings, gears, shafts, and the kinematics of the system.</span></p>
